Start Ups

One of the Austin Florence Alliance’s top priorities is to facilitate connections between entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and advisors within the new technology and start up industries. Austin is home to some of the world’s best infrastructure to support start-up development, which provides the AF Alliance with a great foundation to initiate partnerships that leverage allies in Florence to lead innovation in the European marketplace. This initiative ties in to the AF Alliance education and internship initiatives because of the opportunity to work with students and young entrepreneurs.

Goals

• Identify 3-5 early-stage Florence startups to work with and facilitate partnerships with Austin resources.

• Identify 3-5 early-stage Austin startups to work with and facilitate partnerships with Florence resources

Timeline (Inverted)

• Identify beta test entrepreneurial partnerships both Austin-based and Florence-based to test this initiative (complete)

• Facilitate development process (through 2022)

• Assess results of beta test, consult with advisors, and expand process to achieve full scale (2023)
