Exchanging ideas and sharing cultures.

We’ve established an initiative to help support and facilitate educational opportunities between the two cities and their academic entities. This includes academic development, student exchanges, research opportunities and faculty collaboration. We’ve started with studio course reviews between architecture students and faculty and we’re moving to develop collaboration in STEM and Art/Design.

We’ve established an initiative to facilitate internships between University of Florence students and Austin companies as well as students from Universities in Texas and companies in Florence. This includes placements and ‘on the ground’ logistical support in Austin and Florence respectively.

The AF Alliance team’s first project in the festival space is launching the Firenze in Austin Festival. This will be a weekend festival to celebrate some aspects of Austin and Florence culture, Texas and Tuscany. This event will highlight some gems from the food, music, and art worlds of Florence and Austin.

Initiative to align young entrepreneurs in tech and related industries, specifically gaming and esports, to collaborate on new ideas and ventures. We are connecting leading ventures in each respective country, that have begun looking at projects in Austin and Florence.

AF Alliance is partnering with local/inside travel specialists in Texas and Italy to create opportunities for lifelong learners to take advantage of both cultures. Courses include food and wine studies, art and art history and wellness. Group trips are organized around a calendar of events or can be customized and exclusive for individual parties and/or families.
